With over three decades in education—as an English teacher, college admission professional, and school-based college counselor—I know that students thrive when guided with honesty and support. I tailor my approach to each student’s interests, goals, and strengths, ensuring they present their best selves in the college process.
My own college journey wasn’t traditional. I started at a four-year college that wasn’t the right fit, transferred to a two-year college, and then graduated from USC. This experience shaped my belief that there’s no single path to success—only the one that’s right for each student.
As an admission professional, I spent seven years at USC, helping hundreds of first-year and transfer applicants navigate the process. I understand what makes a compelling application and how students can maximize their potential. There are no secrets—just smart strategies, strong storytelling, and authentic presentation.
My expertise in writing instruction allows me to help students craft college essays that are engaging, personal, and memorable. Seeing students find their voice and confidence is the most rewarding part of my work.
Above all, I treat students and families with kindness, professionalism, and respect. The college process can feel overwhelming, but with the right guidance and hard work, every student can succeed—and learn more about themselves along the way.
